Modules covered in this course

Getting Started

This module covers all the essentials of screen layout, file operations and editing the Quick Access Toolbar.

Creating Text Slides

Here we create new presentations and new slides within them; learn how to edit and format text in all sorts of ways and examine the different views that are available and what you can achieve in each.

Essential Graphics

Here you will cover the basic graphic types of shapes, text boxes, pictures, screenshots, photo albums, WordArt and themes and learn how to modify and customise each to suit your own preferences and organisational standards.

Preparing to Give a Presentation

In the last module of the day, we will look at running a slide show, moving through the show and customising it; the use of Presenter View, transitions and animations; creating speaker notes; printing slides and handouts and publishing the show.

The training provider always uses the method of teaching which has been proved to work best. This is a system called TAP (Training Accreditation Programme) which has twice won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation.

We recommend that you bring real-life examples and problems from work with you so that you can go back to work after training having made real progress.

Please ensure you bring your own laptop with the required Microsoft software installed.
