Developing Assertiveness in the Workplace
18/11/2026 | 9:30am - 12:00am
Event Location: 7th Floor Municipal Building, WA8 7QF
Event Description
Overview
The purpose of the training is for staff to examine and evaluate their own behaviour to others and if necessary to modify it in such a way that improved communication is likely to result.
We take an interactive, sometimes challenging, approach, using a variety of teaching models including lecturer input, individual exercises and group exercises. These all help to explore recognised models of human behaviour and the effect of different communication styles on others.
Who Should Attend?
This course is ideal for staff who want to strengthen their assertiveness skills and better understand how their behaviour influences others.
Whether you are naturally quiet and reserved or tend to adopt a more direct or forceful approach, this training provides practical tools to help achieve a balanced, confident and professional communication style.
